Lite trötta men glada är vi tillbaka. När all packning är på sina platser igen och bilder sorterade kommer en länk till Picasa. Tills dess, håll ut!

Nous sommes arrive!
In Chamonix on 17 februari, 2010 at 2:21 e mDay 1
An adventure always has to start with disaster, so did ours. The night before the flight, baby woke up and screamed his lungs out for hours. Went to the hospital, got him a enema and after that baby was happy. I got 3 hours of sleep so travelday coming, I was more in my own twisted world.
Flew to Geneva, met up with husband and drove to Chamonix. Got to the hotel, could not find booking. It was’nt our fault and they got us a new hotel. Kept the spirits up despite not having slept at all, and car packed to the limit with _everything_ you need for a 5 week holiday…
Went to dinner and fell asleep by nine. Never happened before, never will but boy, did it feel fantastic waking uo 10 hours later…
Preparations part 3 – avalanches
In Chamonix on 8 februari, 2010 at 11:08 f mHeard about this woman who had an angel watching over her in a recent avalanche. It might also have helped that her friend had an avalanche vest on. I’m quite interested in one, even though I’m not really one of those hiking-in-the-alps-for-hours-kind of gal. I like powder, but I also like the civilisation.
But, I will change batteries in my old Ortovox before we go, just in case..
…and on the 3rd day…

In Chamonix on 2 februari, 2010 at 1:22 e mBrunchgirl made a comment ”bring lots of välling”. Yes, that’s no 1 on my list. What else that is not to be found abroad, with a little help from a plastic card?
Preparations
In Chamonix on 1 februari, 2010 at 9:57 e mWhat to bring, what not? Going away for 5 weeks+ with a wee one demands skills and most importantly logistics. What and what’s not to be found on location? What to bring, what to leave behind? We’re not going to Pandora but still, overpacking is irritating and unnecessary. So, how to solve the over-packing issue? Lists. Shareable in Google Docs. By creating lists I’m trying to fool myself into the belief of not bringing to many things, too many bags. But, with a toddle, it’s not that easy. There’s a bed, sheets, toys in various shapes and sizes, food, clothes. And then boards and boots and clothes for parents and yes, you get the picture… This weekend we will do the Beta Packing session. Next weekend, final Packing session.
Now I have to practice some french. Au revoir.
